Subsidies available for ETC buyers

Subsidies kicked in Thursday for motorists who buy the electronic toll
collection system device.

The subsidies of ￥5,250 for a four-wheeled car and ￥15,750 for a
motorcycle are in line with the substantial discounts planned for
expressway tolls across most of the country for ETC-equipped vehicles
from later this month.

木曜日、電子高速料金徴収システムのための装置を買うドライバーのための補助
金がスタートした。

自動車用には5,250円、バイク用には15,750円の補助金は今後今月から始まるETC
搭載車用に、全国の高速道路の料金のために用意された大幅な割引の一環となっ
ている。

景気刺激対策として、今月の後半から高速料金が大幅に割引になります。

なんと、土日と祝日は地方の高速道路は1000円が上限で、いくら乗っても1000円
で乗り放題ということになります。

※：都市部でも地方ほどではなくても割引があります
※：有料道路では割引が適用されないところも
※：大型車などには適用されないものもあります

しかし、この割引はETC利用車のみに適用されるもので、まだETCをつけていない
人のために、ETCを購入する人のためにも補助金が出ることになっています。
